I know all nurses love their job and care deeply for their patients, but few display it as Lexie does. It is not just demonstrated in how hard Lexie works (although I'm confident she works very hard), but rather in how easy and natural Lexie makes it look. Watching Lexie roll her cart up and down the halls, in and out of her patients' rooms, she appears to be strolling on a sandy beach with friends or having a luxury spa day. Lexie shows professionalism, skill, and caring are as natural as the sky is blue. Everything she does appears effortless. I have been visiting my father in USA Health University Hospital for the past four days, awaiting critically needed neurological surgery. While everyone at USA Health has been fantastic, there is something special about Lexie. When she enters the room, my father's eyes light up, and a smile immediately comes to his face. Is it because she has done something special solely for my father? No, it's because without trying, she makes all of her patients feel like they are the only patient in the hospital. I witnessed her work 12-14 hrs per day for at least four days, and her smile was as bright on Sunday afternoon as it was when we arrivedon  Wednesday evening. Lexie is a special human being and has clearly found her calling in life to bring joy and care to others in their times of need. Lexie deserves all the praise and recognition anyone can receive.
