Captain Brown was a phenomenal labor and delivery nurse during our stay for the birth of our daughter. Although my labor did not go as expected and ultimately ended up with an unplanned cesarean section, Captain Brown made me feel so at peace with the situation and was truly a Godsend for helping take good care of me during recovery and my daughter. For instance, on our second night in the hospital, my daughter was cluster feeding and just wouldn’t stop crying, and after 25 hours in labor, I was exhausted. Captain Brown came in and took our daughter for a few hours just so I could get some sleep. Prior to going to the hospital, my husband and I agreed that we wouldn’t let our daughter out of our sight, but Captain Brown was the only person I would have made this exception for. Her care was truly above and beyond, and we couldn’t wait for her to get on shift because we trusted her knowledge and we knew we were going to get exceptional care.
