Kristel welcomed me to the floor with kindness and enthusiasm to teach and mentor me. Every day she uplifted me and shared her wide range of knowledge with me. She showed up every day with joy and happiness that is contagious to the whole unit. She expertly handled a code blue and took the time to explain to me the clinical reasoning and interventions in a way that made it accessible to me. She shared with me her tips to start an IV and assured me that it is okay to take the time to find a good vein. She has empowered my learning, taught me skills, and made me feel welcomed in a way that I will remember for the rest of my nursing career.
