Wendy is a fantastic nurse leader. She prioritizes both employee and patient safety as well as work-life balance. She has been a role model on our unit for many, many years, and she has taught us to adjust to new things and go with the flow. She promotes education, professional development, and compassion in how she leads by example. She is able to care for her own patients, be in charge, and tackle our huge schedule to try to accommodate everyone. Wendy was an instructor for the HACC students as well; she directed them to do and be their best just as she does with the 4E staff. Wendy pushes everyone to be their best, prioritizes safety, and will jump in to help in any scenario. She is an asset to the unit and a strong force to have in our corner. She is able to challenge each employee to think through each situation and make the best decisions. It is a rare occurrence that she doesn't try to do everything herself. Above all, Wendy is able to speak up professionally when things don't seem correct. She is a true DAISY Nurse Leader.
