I want to take a moment to recognize someone truly special, our nurse Leslie. During an incredibly emotional and difficult time for our family, she was a steady source of comfort, compassion, and grace. Even when emotions ran high and there was drama within the family, Leslie remained calm, kind, and focused. She never took anything personal and always made sure that the care and attention stayed right where it belonged, on my beloved grandmother. Leslie’s passion for her work is evident in everything she does. She treats my grandmother with such dignity and respect, and for that, I will be forever grateful. Her heart is in this work, and it shows. If we had to go through this experience all over again, we would choose Leslie every single time. She’s truly a Gem, and an angel sent from above.
