I was stung by a bee and developed a life-altering allergy to bees after going into severe anaphylaxis. My life was saved, and immediately I looked into seeing an allergist and getting immunotherapy, as I work with bees as a landscaper and pollinator garden designer. N was my first nurse, and on my second visit, Brittany shadowed her since N would be leaving for maternity leave. On that second visit, I went into anaphylaxis, and Brittany gave me the EPIPen, and immediately, I was taken to the ER. I’ve been getting shots now for 7 months, twice a week. There are no words to express my gratitude to Brittany. I’ve come to enjoy my allergy shots. Brittany goes above and beyond in not only making me feel comfortable but also contacting my allergist and following up when they are not responsive, and she always goes the extra mile for me. I’m grateful for her quick reaction in giving me the EPIPen, her exceptional care, and for going above and beyond in making me feel safe and cared for. NCH is blessed they have her on their team/as am I.

Brittany first off greeted me with a warm smile. I came into the urgent care in a lot of pain and questions. She was so supportive and understanding. She was full of positive energy and so caring. She even “held my hand” at one point when she knew I was nervous. She and Dr. K were fabulous! I had to come back the next day, and she made it a point to be there for me as a nurse again. She also made the process of recommending a PA for my wound care recovery. I can’t speak highly enough of her kindness, the wonderful hospital, and the great continued care.
