My 90-year-old mother was placed in the 5th-floor step-down unit prior to and after receiving a heart ablation and pacemaker. I had already noticed Madi's professionalism and kindness while she tended to Mother during the two nights prior to the procedure. However, on the night following the procedure, I began to worry about my mother's poor kidney function. Madi came into the room, and I tried to ask a question, but broke down. Madi recognized my need for comfort, hugging me and speaking encouraging words. Then, to my surprise, she asked if she could pray with me. Her humble prayer and her actions were such a blessing to me, and I will forever remember her words and her kind spirit. I believe God Himself placed her in our path, and I pray His watchcare and protection over Madi and all the wonderful professionals who cared for my mother.
