I came into the hospital with stroke symptoms, which were diagnosed as a TIA. They admitted me and ran the usual protocol with checks every two hours through the night. I had no discomfort from the TIA, but was miserable through the night tossing and turning from the strange bed; the fitted sheet kept coming off. I was setting off the bed alarm from moving around, and there are so many indicator lights that you could practically read a book, it's so bright, even with the lights off. Destini was so kind! Helped me organize the bedding to straighten it out for my comfort. When I wished for a sleep mask to block the light, she went on Pinterest and found a way to cut a hospital sock to make a mask. IT WAS PERFECT! I was finally able to get some sleep! I had been so cranky from sleep deprivation, but she was always patient and kind. She really listened to my concerns and did her best to make me feel comfortable. When I went down for the MRI, I wore the mask, and the MRI tech thought the mask was a great idea and planned to copy it. Everyone at Advent was pleasant and cheerful, but Destini went above and beyond to make my time there comfortable, secure, and happy.
