He explained the machines and what they do in the most delicate way you could to make a traumatic time less scary for everyone.
My father was moved into the ICU and put on life support; we were lucky enough to have Sam as his nurse. Sam was patient and kind, not only explaining to us but also taking the time to answer all of the questions and concerns of the littlest members of our family. He explained the machines and what they do in the most delicate way you could to make a traumatic time less scary for everyone. We can’t thank him enough for the respect he showed all of us, and especially my dad. If my dad were awake and could, he would, with a big smile, say, “I like him.”

Samuel was there in the scariest time of our lives when our dad was put on life support. He explained everything that was happening; he was very caring and supportive. When our children and grandchildren showed up to see my dad, he explained to them what every hose and IV did. He has been there for any questions we have and has treated my dad with the utmost respect. Even when we thought we had the dumbest questions ever, he said there is no such thing as a dumb question, and always smiled as he answered our questions. I cannot say enough about him and the truly caring RN he is. If my dad could talk right now, he would look at us and say, “I really like him.”
