Juliet expanded on her nursing education by doing a study-away program to Mexico, helping to provide medical screening and care to rural and underserved populations. The nursing faculty that nominated Juliet had this to say about her:

"Juliet is highly dedicated to being a phenomenal nurse. She goes above and beyond in her classes to get the most out of the course that she can, without regard to expectations. While I have only had Juliet for a study-away course, she comes to me regularly to ask questions and expand her understanding of classwork. Not only is Juliet highly motivated academically, but she is also highly compassionate about her patients and giving the best possible care, taking evidence based practice into consideration."
