From our very first interaction, Mack loved and treated our son not just as a patient, but as a tiny fighter worthy of every ounce of attention.
When our son was born prematurely at 34 weeks and transferred to Norton Children’s, we were terrified. In total, we spent nearly 6 weeks in the NICU. On the scariest night of our lives, when a sudden complication arose, Mack stood out and provided nothing but hope, strength, and compassion to us. She jumped on the case after seeing symptoms and had a full workup done and a diagnosis made in collaboration with the doctor within hours. It was a very overwhelming and emotionally exhausting time, but her calm demeanor and friendly face always kept us feeling reassured. From our very first interaction, Mack loved and treated our son not just as a patient, but as a tiny fighter worthy of every ounce of attention. Her gentle hands, calming voice, and constant vigilance gave us so much comfort. She explained everything she was doing to get us answers, answered every single question I had, and even stopped by to check on him when he wasn’t even her assignment that night. What made her exceptional was not just her clinical skill, but the way she connected with us and our son. Her presence gave us so much peace during some of the most uncertain days of our lives. We are endlessly grateful to Mack for the role she played in helping our son survive and thrive, and we will NEVER forget her! We miss you, but we are so glad to be home and doing well.
