Larry goes above and beyond for every patient he cares for. On this particular day, Larry arranged for a very complex ICU patient to be taken outside. This patient has had a lengthy hospital course and was getting withdrawn and depressed. Larry made the offer to take him outside for some fresh air and a change of scenery, which the patient gladly accepted. This was no small task, as a significant amount of preparation was required for it to happen. This is a ventilator patient who is quadriplegic. Larry managed to get everything arranged very quickly and was able to take the patient outside. The patient was thankful for this opportunity. This is not the first time Larry has gone to this extreme for his patients, as he has arranged for many patients to be escorted outside while under his care. Larry goes the extra mile for any patient he comes in contact with, and his compassion and dedication are truly worthy of recognition.
