I felt like I was in good hands, and that I was being listened to and heard, and that all my concerns were taken seriously, and it made me a lot less nervous.
I was so nervous for my surgery and haven't seen the surgeon who is supposed to be operating on me since my first appointment. I had only seen his assistant when I mentioned that I was nervous, and I hadn't gotten a chance to talk to the surgeon. Everyone else kind of brushed it off and said that the team would come and talk to me, but Danielle asked me if I wanted to see the surgeon specifically before her surgery, and I said yes. She stopped everything to make sure that the surgeon came and talked to me and answered all of my questions. I felt like I was in good hands, and that I was being listened to and heard, and that all my concerns were taken seriously, and it made me a lot less nervous. I appreciated her, not just brushing me off, but stopping everything until I felt comfortable.

I was very nervous leading up to my surgery. Danielle was my pre-op nurse, and she made me feel at ease. Even though she was asking me health questions and gathering the information she needed, we were laughing, and it felt like we were friends. I was thankful she was my pre op nurse and was able to help some of my nerves go away.
