When I was so exhausted that I couldn't hold my baby, she hand-expressed my colostrum for me and syringe-fed my baby because she knew I wanted to breastfeed.
I recently had my first baby, and Ally made my first night as a new mom so easy. I had an emotionally rough labor, and after 40 hours, it was determined I needed a C-section. When I was taken to the mother-baby unit, I had a lot of anxiety and was in the worst pain I'd ever experienced. Ally took amazing care of me and my son. She was very attentive and thorough, but also kind and gentle. When I was so exhausted that I couldn't hold my baby, she hand-expressed my colostrum for me and syringe-fed my baby because she knew I wanted to breastfeed. She answered any questions I had and was very patient with me through all the pain. She was also an amazing help to my husband while I slept, ensuring my baby was alright and well taken care of. Throughout the night, my son’s body temperature dropped, and she continually monitored him and made it her first priority to get a warmer and blankets for him. Ally was the best nurse I could have possibly asked for, especially when I was emotionally and physically drained. My family and I are so thankful for her. Some people are meant to be nurses, and she is definitely one of them.
