Jordan Thomas is a dedicated Registered Nurse and Charge Nurse with the ED, renowned for her exceptional compassion, clinical expertise, and unwavering commitment to patient care. She received her BSN from Texas A&M Corpus Christi. Since joining CHRISTUS New Braunfels in 2015, where she completed her nursing residency, she has consistently demonstrated an ability to provide comfort, support, and expert care to patients and their families during some of life’s most challenging moments.

As a DAISY Award recipient, Jordan has been recognized for going above and beyond in her practice—delivering not just care, but kindness, empathy, and advocacy for every patient she serves. Colleagues describe her as a role model who fosters teamwork, inspires confidence, and embodies the core values of nursing in every interaction.

Her passion for patient-centered care extends beyond the bedside. Jordan actively leads the Emergency department, mentors new nurses, participates in quality improvement initiatives, and continually seeks opportunities to enhance patient outcomes through education and innovation.

Jordan was nominated for the DAISY Award by a patient. The patient presented to the ER, and while waiting at the check-in counter, the patient collapsed, and a Code was called. Jordan was able to quickly assess and begin CPR, and with the help of her team, was able to save this patient’s life. The patient was so grateful and wanted to make sure Jordan was honored, as he now considers her his Hero!

In receiving the DAISY Award, she joins a distinguished group of nurses celebrated for the profound impact they have on patients’ lives, reminding everyone that nursing is not just a profession—it’s a calling.
