This was our second extended stay at Abbott for my husband, D. He was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in April and after chemo and radiation had his esophagectomy. This is where we first met Jani, a very professional, calm, and caring nurse. We cannot thank her enough for their care during a rapid response situation where she kept us calm and informed. The rest of the care providers have been awesome, but Jani always managed to keep us calm and encouraged. 

Our second time of extended stay was when his hemoglobin level had dropped to 3.5, and they were checking him to find out where the blood loss was coming from. We were sent to a room and couldn’t believe there was Jani, with their sweet smile and calming nature. She helped us during the next few days and really went above and beyond again! My husband, being diabetic too, she even thought to check his feet and even washed them for him. 

Throughout D’s cancer treatment, we have had many excellent nursing and healthcare providers. But somehow Jani was the one who stood out. Professional, gentle, kind, and quick to act. We are eternally grateful for all the excellent care and hope that you are all blessed for your amazing work.  

We hope you recognize Jani for their caring and professional skills and talents. We think of her as our little angel and thank God so much for all she has done even above and beyond in her cares!
