Kristi knew how much my husband loved sunrises and the warmth of the sun on his face.
My husband was in the ICU for 25 days with interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, with a recent hit of COVID on 2/20/25 that knocked him down HARD.

Admitted at midnight on 3/01/25, Kristi knew how much my husband loved sunrises and the warmth of the sun on his face. She moved mountains to get the appropriate approval to move a COVID patient through the halls and up to the roof by the helicopter pad, along with the respiratory therapist. He cried with pure joy. (literally)

My husband wanted to do something very special for her to show his appreciation for all her efforts, and so do I. He was so surprised that someone would go out of their way for him. She even brought a cheese bagel for him. Kristi can tell you that story. It’s pretty funny! Before I would head into my husband’s ICU room, donning the PPE, Kristi would give me an update before I went into the room. She’d share with me all the nice things my husband said about me. (That’s always good to hear)

My husband passed away on 3/25/25 at 4:25 AM. I was at his side. He was the love of my life. This disease humbled this modest man. I will NEVER FORGET what she did for my beloved husband. I miss him DEARLY. She deserves a field of daisies. We love you, Kristi! I had John Denver’s “Sunshine on My Shoulders" play at his funeral in honor of Kristi.
