Tanya was there while I was checked in after having my water break, and for labor starting. She listened to everything I said, and I never felt so heard and seen as a patient in my 33 years of life. She made sure I was comfortable, provided so much insight in the process of labor, I asked so many questions, she answered everyone with knowledge and grace, and in ways I understood, and also answered any questions my husband had. Her experience shows in what she does. I was sad to have her shift end as my nurse because of the peace she set in the space around her. I say all that to note that we had to stay additional days in the hospital with baby, at a certain moment I was specifically had a very difficult time as worry and fear and exhaustion has caught up with our going on 3 day in hospital when she recognized my husband in the hallway and came by to say hello and see baby, my eye filled up with tears because I knew that if I asked a question or anything I felt on a personal level peace. The staff in general is amazing, but there is something extraordinary about someone who calms your nerves in high-stress situations. Tanya made a difference in my experience, the hospital is blessed to have her there, and so many patients will have amazing experiences because she is their nurse.
