Bianca is an extraordinary nurse who genuinely cares so deeply about her patients! She quickly and easily makes people feel safe, cared for, respected, and like valued members of the healthcare team, regardless of whether they are a patient, their loved ones, or staff. I have personally seen her go the extra mile with countless patients to ensure all of their needs, both medical and personal, are met. Just last night, she had a patient who didn't have a way to store the large stores of breastmilk she was producing, and was worried about it going to waste. While coordinating with our L&D, postpartum, and NICU units to determine the best course of action for what could be done, she called her husband to bring in a small portable cooler that the patient could use while the situation got sorted out! She truly eased the mind of this patient, which allowed her to finally get some much-needed rest! Bianca is also always inquiring about the needs of fellow staff members regularly, both work and personal, which helps to make our unit really feel like a team! She inspires all to be the best versions of themselves they can be, and brings a smile and laugh to everyone she encounters! She is the definition of positivity and cheer. She is also incredibly brilliant, and I know that any patient she has is in the best hands, as she is quick to notice changes, identify trends, and take action before concerns become problems. I truly believe Bianca should be awarded the DAISY Award! There is no one more deserving in my opinion than her!

She makes staff, patients, and their loved ones feel safe, secure, confident, comfortable, respected, cherished, and significant! She brings a smile and a laugh to everyone she encounters, and she always brings a cheery, positive attitude wherever she goes.
