I am writing to wholeheartedly nominate Ms. Peggy, our dedicated nursing coordinator, for the DAISY Award in recognition of her outstanding commitment to patient care in our unit.  She consistently demonstrates an unwavering level of compassion, expertise, and dedication in managing complicated patient cases. Her ability to effortlessly coordinate care across multiple disciplines, anticipate potential issues, and advocate tirelessly for patients’ needs is truly outstanding.

She communicates clearly and compassionately with patients and their families, addressing their concerns and providing them with the help and resources they need. She also tirelessly helps us nurses, countless times, to achieve a positive outcome for a complicated patient case, including providing support and guidance to a safe patient disposition.

One of the many instances that I could not forget was when she went above and beyond to help a patient who was not originally from this area but got injured and required an ortho referral. It was Friday afternoon, she tirelessly contacted that ortho clinic to get this patient the help he needed, and because of her expertise in dealing a complex patient cases like this, she got that patient the help he needed. This is just one of the many instances in which she displayed outstanding patient care.
