Adelle Clinton is invested in the safe growth of our unit and its staff, as shown by her daily dedication to the PICU. Adelle continues to onboard large groups of employees in the PICU with understanding, grace, and professionalism. The past spring, she successfully onboarded 20+ new nurses, as well as more ancillary staff and a clinical instructor. She is often the first face seen or the first email sent to all our new staff. She is the perfect person for this role as she is friendly and approachable, yet states her clear expectations that uphold the high standards of PICU. When not interviewing or onboarding new staff, she is an invaluable resource to our unit and this hospital. She is a practice council chair, a valued member of the skin team, and helps roll out new equipment on the unit that benefits our patients and their families. The staff truly respects Adelle and often seeks her out not only for advice but to advise on the latest best practice. Adelle is a true PICU champion, and our unit is so lucky to have her. She makes every day better for our patients, their families, and this hospital.
