I truly don't think I would have been able to have the courage to keep trying and push through everything if Jeanette weren't my nurse.
I had my first baby in March 2024. I went in being super nervous, and I thought I had a birth plan. I first went in to be monitored and was later transferred to labor and delivery. They called a nurse to come transfer me, and I was praying inside that she would be nice. When I first saw Jeanette, I had a somewhat preconceived notion of her. I thought she seemed nice, but she wasn't the super-bubbly nurse I had hoped for. Boy, let me tell you how wrong I was. Jeanette took care of me as if I were her own flesh and blood. She advocated for me, she listened to every single question and scenario I had thought of. She cared for me. She was so patient with me.
I have never met such a caring, thoughtful, kind, and loving nurse in my life. I can't even put into words what having her as my nurse meant to me. My labor was super long, and I ended up having a c-section, and I truly don't think I would have been able to have the courage to keep trying and push through everything if Jeanette weren't my nurse. Even though my baby boy is almost 1 year old, I feel guilty that I didn't try to nominate Jeanette sooner. I mean, better late than never, right? Anyway, I wanted everyone to know how incredible she is. If anyone gives birth at Kaiser, I truly hope you get a nurse like Jeanette. She is an angel on earth and will treat you with the dignity and respect you deserve as a new mom. Thank you so much, and God bless!
