Ingrid is a rock star! Not only is she an excellent nurse and team leader, but she also went above and beyond on the most recent snow day. When teammates were calling out, stuck in the snow on the road, she was offering to come get them so that our unit could be safely staffed. She went as far as offering her house and extra beds to staff, as well as helping coworkers from other units. This allowed our patients to receive better care because stress on the nurses was alleviated. Ingrid consistently goes above and beyond. She practices what she preaches and is respected by everyone. I know that all of Ingrid’s patients are in excellent hands when she is working. It is always a pleasure to receive report from her because all the patients have been educated, comforted, and well attended to. They all go to her self-proclaimed boot camp, where they have been up and ambulating for most of the day. She understands the whole health picture/approach when caring for her patients. And let me tell you, it is a much better experience for all if you arrive to happy patients who are pleased with their experience at Rex. Ingrid deserves to be recognized for that impact.
