Throughout this traumatic ordeal, Nurse Hazel stood out not just as a professional but as a pillar of compassion and endurance.
Hazel A. Dividina, RN I, has consistently been awarded as Best Civilian Nurse of ER, OPD, and Triage for multiple quarters in 2024. She was also awarded as the Outstanding Civilian Nurse of the Year on the hospital’s 60th Founding Anniversary last 30th May 2025. This feedback reflects the essence of what we, as healthcare professionals, strive to achieve: healing not just through clinical expertise, but through compassion and genuine human connection. Her colleagues admire her work ethic, her patients respect her dedication, and her superiors deeply value her reliability and commitment to nursing excellence.
Her dedication is not only evident to her colleagues but also deeply felt by the patients and families she serves. A testament to this is the heartfelt words shared by a patient’s superior, who admired her strength, skills, and compassion, who remarked: “As a direct witness to her exceptional care and compassion during one of the most difficult moments for one of my soldiers. Throughout this traumatic ordeal, Nurse Hazel stood out not just as a professional but as a pillar of compassion and endurance. She went above and beyond her duties to care for the patient and his wife. Even in the most difficult and unpleasant tasks, Hazel remained composed, gentle, and respectful. She consistently treated the patient and his wife with courtesy and empathy, anticipating their needs and providing comfort during a time of immense physical and emotional pain. Her presence made a difference, not just in the healing process, but in preserving the dignity of a soldier who had just lost a limb in the line of duty.”
