My Father is a truck driver from Pennsylvania. He got sick during one of his cross-country trips and was brought to this hospital. It took me a couple of days to be able to make the trip to be with him. Every nurse on either shift was excellent, but Megan always went above and beyond caring for my father in this very scary time, as he was diagnosed with CHF for the first time, and he was so far from home. She would come in and talk with my dad about what this new diagnosis was and explain things again very patiently.

Megan is a very caring and compassionate person who saw that Dad was scared and made sure we were both well cared for. She made it possible for my dad to talk to a chaplain, which helped his mental well-being as well. Even on her days off, she would call in to check on him. Because of everything Megan did to make sure a couple of people far from home were well cared for mentally and physically, she will always be remembered as a standout nurse and human being. I will remember the kindness and compassion that she showed me and my father.
