Ron was amazing. He went the extra mile that none of the other nurses did the entire 10 days my fiancé was admitted. For example, there was a specific wound care item I needed to keep blisters/ulcers at bay with my fiancé’s venous stasis. It’s something I couldn’t find online and was vital to his wound care. I had asked several nurses during his stay if they could get some for us. Each one stated it wasn’t on the 6th floor, but they would go down to wound care when they had the chance-not one followed through. The day of discharge was a Sunday, and the wound office was closed. Ron made the effort to call several other floors and finally found them after going to the 10th floor to look for himself. This specific item was extremely important to our wound care routine we’ve had for a year. Without them, his legs would’ve been in really bad shape. The fact that he took the time to go above and beyond meant so much to me. It took a burden off my load of wondering how I was going to find them. Ron is extremely kind, attentive, and takes the time to really listen to his patients. If I had been able to spend more time with him as our nurse, I’m sure I would have so many other kind words to say.
