I would like to nominate Christie Osment, RN, for a DAISY Award in recognition of her exceptional contributions to Marshall I. Pickens Hospital. In our field, Behavioral Health/ Psychiatry, where recognition from our patients is often rare due to the unique circumstances of the population we serve, Christie stands out for her unwavering commitment to both her patients and colleagues. I have witnessed firsthand over the last three years that I have worked with her how she consistently makes each of her patients feel heard, valued, and understood, always providing them with a safe and non-judgmental environment. Her compassionate approach is admirable and creates a trusting bond that significantly improves patient outcomes. In addition to her amazing patient care, Christie fosters a supportive and appreciative atmosphere among her coworkers. She is always ready to offer a listening ear, a helping hand, wise advice, and encouragement. She makes sure her colleagues feel valued and supported. Her positive attitude and tireless dedication have a profound impact on our team and the patients we care for. Christie truly is an extraordinary nurse and more than deserving of this honor.
