I was feeling so lousy when I was transferred from the ER. The first person I saw when I got to the room was Madison. With a smile from ear to ear, she said,” Hi, I’m Madison, and I’m going to be your nurse today and tomorrow." She immediately went to work preparing my bed and helping me get settled. All the while, that smile from ear to ear was very visible. She constantly asked me if there was anything she could do for me, and as she would pivot, smile, and say,” call me if you need anything!" Her attitude lifts a patient’s spirits. It says, “I care about you and want to help you get better!" To me, Madison embodies everything a nurse should be. Kind, professional, joyful, and a credit to her employer.

Madison was my day nurse on 2 occasions. She always had a smile and a friendly word for me. She was knowledgeable in all functions of her job. Madison always made me feel that she cared about me as a person. She answered all my questions, and I never felt like I was bothering her. She is an excellent nurse and an excellent person.

Madison’s greeting to me was warm and comforting. Her sparkle and joyous personality put me at ease immediately during my stay. She checked on me constantly and was caring. She was off before my discharge and asked the nurse on duty to tell me she was asking how I was doing and said hello. She is by far one of the most caring nurses I have ever had. I am sure her kindness and care she showed to me are shown to all her patients. Thank you, Madison!
