Amanda went out of her way to care for both her patient and the family during an incredibly difficult time. After clearly explaining what was happening, she came to the hallway where the family had gathered, calmly reassured them, and comforted the patient’s grandmother. Amanda administered pain medication, which helped stabilize the patient’s heart rate for some time, and then remained at her bedside, providing compassionate care until she passed peacefully several hours later.

The family spoke with immense gratitude for Amanda’s care. The patient had a DNR order, and when she passed, Amanda thoughtfully printed a small rhythm strip showing the exact time of passing, which meant so much to the family. They later shared their appreciation on social media, expressing how Amanda went above and beyond to bring comfort and dignity to their loved one’s final moments.
