Unit Secretary: Kendra Cooley
The Family Birthplace Unit at Patewood Hospital is a very busy unit. However, no matter how busy they may be, we are constantly hearing nothing but good comments from patients and visitors who have received care on that unit. There is a wealth of knowledge from the caregivers on this unit, with many of the nursing staff having over 20 years of L&D experience. Over this past year, the Family Birthplace Unit has had over 25 individual nurse nominations for the DAISY award. All of these nominations speak of the compassionate, quality care they received from these individual nurses. I would like to nominate the Family Birthplace Unit at Patewood Hospital to receive the DAISY Team Award, as all of the staff of the unit seem to really pull together as a team to provide the patients with outstanding care that Patewood is known for.
