I was a patient for cervical spine fusion of C5-C7. There were many wonderful staff members, but Sarah stood out the most! She made checking in and updating info easy. She was very patient as there were issues for the other nurse getting my IV started. This is normal for me as my veins can be difficult. It took 3 painful tries to get 1 that worked. There were several times I had to stop talking to breathe through the pain. The other nurse was finally able to get one working, so we could finish the admission questions. Sarah kept me talking and breathing while this was being done. I am sometimes sassy and sarcastic, especially when I am nervous. Sarah matched my humor and kept me going with her responses. We talked about everything. She was also very responsive to my daughter, who is my caretaker.

We were all hungry by release time; she told us about a new bakery, as I always like to try new things. Tous Les Jours has amazing pastries! Sarah was a great caregiver as well as an idea sharer. The best part was her hug as she helped me into the car to go home. All the staff were great. I appreciate all of the time and talents they shared. Thank you to all, but especially Sarah!
