Latoya Daniels is a dedicated and dependable nurse manager who consistently demonstrates unwavering support for her team in the Eastern region. Although she lives more than three hours from Chesapeake, she regularly travels to the St. Brides facility to conduct sick calls, perform intakes, and lead mass clinics to help bring the site into compliance. Latoya exemplifies what it truly means to be a team player. Earlier this year, she texted that she was just leaving. It was almost midnight, after spending the day completing grievances, conducting sick calls and intakes, and reviewing charts in an effort to develop a chronic care list. This nurse had to drive home; she lives three hours away. She also had another mass clinic planned for another site at 0900 the next morning. She has been a tremendous support to the site’s Health Authorities and continues to be highly responsive, consistently advocating for the nurses she supervises. Her commitment, reliability, and leadership make her an invaluable asset to the team.
