I have a confession to make. As a former combat Marine who was in Vietnam twice, I consider myself an Alpha-Male, a totally unafraid person. However, this morning, upon entering the hospital, I was very down due to past experiences as recently as two weeks ago. The nurse could not find my vein on either arm. Physically, I was hurt but never said a word. However, I was very determined to go through this. Luckily, I was assigned Miss Sydney, who saw my angst and immediately calmed me down with her nice smile, joke-telling, and easy demeanor. She told me what she had to do, reassured me, and everything will be ok. Well, it was little if any hurt inserting the needle, and she proceeded in a very professional manner to treat me. I must honestly say that the woman was/is a true professional in every way. She is so sweet and kind to me, and I appreciate her. If I were ever to start up a company, she would be my first hire. I honor and respect her.
