I wanted to nominate Jennifer Ogle for the DAISY Award. She is an exceptional caregiver to her patients and the nurses she works with. She always goes above and beyond the standard of care. Her attention to detail, in every aspect of her job, is truly amazing. She is kind and thoughtful to the patients and family alike.

Her clinical knowledge of the job is superb. Jennifer has the whole picture in mind when she is on duty. Jennifer is able to recognize an emergency situation and act appropriately. Her experience is so valuable to the ED. Jennifer not only supports the patient but the family as well. Her compassion shows in the care she gives to others.

She is always looking out for her patients, co-workers, various departments in the hospital, and to family members. Her thoughts are never limited to just the tasks at hand. She considers the next shift and how events will affect them.

Jennifer is proactive in educating the staff and students. She never talks down to anyone who is trying to learn. As a charge nurse, Jennifer is aware of many things going on at one time. When making assignments, Jennifer looks at the skill set and the educational needs of each nurse and/or nurse extern. She follows up with abnormal Lab reports and makes sure the patient's continuity of care is extended to the post-visit phase. She is always concerned about Quality issues.

She helps with staffing and many other tasks that are needed in the ED. Jennifer prints out the "self-scheduling" schedule and makes changes daily or as needed. Jennifer respects her manager and is willing to help out wherever needed.

Jennifer is always willing to listen and consider all sides of an issue. My words are inadequate to truly give Jennifer justice. Jennifer is a joy to work with.
