Kirsten serves as a role model and mentor for professional nursing. She demonstrates enthusiasm for teaching, learning, and nursing that inspires and motivates students, as well as interest in and respect for those learning. She uses personal attributes such as care, confidence, patience, integrity, and flexibility that facilitate professional growth.She is fair and unbiased in/her treatment of individual students and displays excellent interpersonal skills. She develops collaborative working relationships with students and colleagues. 

Kirsten sought out the role of being a pod coach so she can help team members learn and grow, and assist in our team's success. She developed a student engagement SharePoint site that provides motivation and outreach templates to enhance student engagement and outcomes, and enthusiastically shares this with her peers. She has provided her peers with training on texting strategies to support proactive outreach to students. She is leading our team's pacing specialists in developing strategies to help our students reach 2m and 4m pacing, as well as OTP, for their term. She readily shares information, answers questions, and assists with training within her team and within LSH.”
