Recognizing the patient’s deteriorating condition, Mr. Veridiano consistently and persistently advocated for ICU-level care. His voice became the patient’s voice when she could not speak for herself, demonstrating our core value of putting patients first.

While managing this complex case, Mr. Veridiano maintained exceptional care for all his assigned patients, embodying our commitment to the comprehensive, coordinated care that defines the Kaiser Permanente difference.

Even after the patient was transferred to the ICU the following morning at 0900 hours, Mr. Veridiano’s caring influence continued. He regularly followed up by asking for updates on her condition, demonstrating genuine concern and emotional investment in her well-being, extending far beyond his shift responsibilities.

Though the patient sadly experienced a cardiac arrest and passed away later that evening, her final days were marked by the dignity and comfort he provided.
