You are an outstanding person, and I hope you know how much your work is valued.
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for the exceptional care and compassion you provided during my recent surgical procedure at Madison Hospital. Your dedication to your patients is remarkable, and I wanted to let you know how much your kindness and attentiveness meant to me. By your countenance, a patient can see that you truly care about your patients. Your calm and reassuring demeanor when explaining my treatment plan, your willingness to answer my questions patiently, and your prompt response to my needs. This made a significant difference in my experience.
After my hip replacement surgery, the doctor ordered no crossing of the legs. That, for me, is a hard order to follow because I have always crossed my legs for comfort. When you entered the room, you always reminded me to uncross my legs. I can still hear your words as I write this because I am having a hard time not crossing my legs. I appreciated it when you saw me trying to transfer from the bed to the walker, and the bed was too low, which put my hips in too sharp an angle. You stopped what you were doing and came and helped me out of my predicament. Taking time to explain the negative effect of what I was doing. You remained at my side, making sure I was able to make it to the restroom, and you remained with me until I was done. You then took it on your own volition to see why I had not received the release paper, of which you then made sure I received promptly. Then, after being released, I appreciate the extra time you took to ensure I was comfortable getting to my transportation and double-checking that I was seat-belted properly.
Your positive attitude and genuine care made a challenging time much easier to bear. You are not just a nurse; you are a true advocate for your patients. You are an outstanding person, and I hope you know how much your work is valued.
