Hallee is the definition of an angel. When my dad was here, my mom and I were absolutely terrified of what the future would hold. After he was discharged from the hospital, we were told he needed to wait a few months before he could be seen in the clinic for a follow-up visit. At first, I was unbelievably angry and needed answers as to why someone in such a condition needed to wait that long.

I went to the clinic in person to make sure I could speak with someone face-to-face. I asked the receptionist if I could talk to a nurse. She said she would call her and see if she could come out and talk. A few minutes later, as I was preparing for an argument, our sweet nurse opened the door with a smile and called my name. She took me back to a private room, pulled up my dad's chart, and answered any question I threw at her. The unexpected time she took out of her day to calm me down, sit next to me while I cried, and then gave me a card with her direct line threw me for a loop.

I left the clinic feeling better than I had in days, knowing that someone truly does care and is there for us. I have called Hallee almost weekly to ask her questions, and she always answers so gently and patiently. She has been an angel through this whole process, and Monument Health should consider itself lucky to have her on its team. Hallee, my mom, and I want you to know how special you are and how thankful we are for you.
