I would like to nominate Jamie Villante for the DAISY Award for her exceptional care, leadership, and unwavering dedication to both patients and the Porter staff. During a recent rapid response on 3 North, Jamie served as the key nurse and remained calm, composed, and highly organized under pressure. She took charge of the situation with clarity and confidence, ensuring that care was delivered swiftly and efficiently. Her ability to communicate and lead the team was instrumental in managing a very tense moment. Every single request from the Rapid Response Team was met by Jamie. She quickly stepped in without hesitation to ensure that there was no delay in patient care. She is a very “present” charge nurse because she steps in to help every nurse as much as she possibly can. Jamie is deeply compassionate about nursing, and it shows.
