My father, who was a recent patient, has the onset of dementia, and his erratic behavior required much care. Despite the overwhelming nature this created, these nurses treated my dad with the utmost respect and relentlessly did everything they could to make him comfortable and safe.
My family is filled with gratitude for the kind words of encouragement they extended to us during his stay. One night was particularly difficult because he needed constant supervision due to his inability to understand why he was in a hospital; thus, he was trying to leave. This continued for hours, but the nurses never showed any signs of exasperation, only genuine compassion. The Cardiac 45 team were angels in nurses' uniforms that night.
On behalf of my family, thank you for taking care of our dad. He truly has always been a kindhearted man, and if he had his cognitive abilities, he too would have expressed his appreciation.
