A nurse leader is a model of an exemplary and extraordinary person who takes a leadership role in guiding and influencing others in the nursing profession and the health care system. Whenever my daughter and I have any concerns regarding my husband's health care, we contact her, and she addresses our concerns immediately. Lilette demonstrates the qualities of a nurse leader. She has strong communication skills and is a problem solver who makes great decisions. She can analyze problems, implement solutions, strive for high-quality patient care, and is involved in delivering effective patient care. Lastly, she goes beyond the call of duty.
