During my father’s recent hospitalization, we had the privilege of being cared for by Leann. My father is 83 years old, fragile both physically and medically, and naturally, our family was very anxious. Even though the unit was clearly short-staffed, she never made us feel rushed or like we were a burden. Instead, she took the time to listen carefully to our concerns and thoughtfully applied her clinical judgment to ensure my father received the best care possible. As a physician myself, I admit that I am not easily impressed when it comes to clinical excellence.
