There are many procedures that patients are unfamiliar with when they come in. Joshua would talk through each procedure, explaining the overall goal and further talking about key considerations he takes while executing the procedure. It results in more effective treatment and greater patient comfort.

Whether it was removing a catheter, driving an IV line, and the list goes on. One very specific example involved my use of my insulin pump. The pharmacy was clearly struggling to control my sugars, and he took the additional steps of talking them into allowing me to use my insulin pump. Soon after, my sugars were once again under control. That was over and above to me!

In each of the above examples, his attention to detail, explanations, and general care and compassion for the patient resulted in better outcomes. More importantly to me, it gave me confidence and peace of mind knowing what he was thinking and why he was doing the job the way he did it.
