She has educated me and supported me throughout the start of my career, and has taught me so much. I strive to be a nurse like Jill throughout my nursing career.
Jill exhibits the core values of SNHH each shift that she works. She ensures that patients are satisfied with their care, and if she hears that a patient is unhappy with the care they have received, she is quick to meet with the patient and set goals of care. She holds both herself and staff accountable during her shift. She is quick to come to the floors to offer assistance and makes sure the nurses always feel supported. If staffing is tight, she will come to the floor to assist with vitals, toileting/turning patients, and answering the call bell.

I trust that when Jill is the house supervisor for my shift that I will be supported by her. Jill is an outstanding nurse to work with. As the nursing supervisor, she coordinates the movement of all patients in the hospital while also managing emergencies as they arise. When I work a shift with Jill as the supervisor, I know I will be supported in any situation where I need help. She has come to the floor to relieve nurses and assist with patient care countless times. I know that if I call on Jill for support, she will be at my side as soon as she can. If she is aware there is a heavy patient load, she comes to the floor to assist with vital signs, toileting patients, and answering call lights. She supports the nurses that she works with and has stated to me personally, "We are here to help, and we protect each other. That is what I am here for". She is quick to offer support in difficult situations and always attempts to de-escalate any situation by talking to the patient. She has profound knowledge in the practice of nursing. She turns every moment she can into a teaching moment when demonstrating a skill. She has educated me and supported me throughout the start of my career, and has taught me so much. I strive to be a nurse like Jill throughout my nursing career.
