On full display, not only did he meet our standards, but his passion and expertise rose above all, rewarding us with comfort and relief.
LT Dunn, the nurse assigned to our family on the ICU, is a true professional, and their dedication to their profession was evident during our recent visit. He admitted my father-in-law at the age of 96. My wife and I met LT Dunn Saturday morning as we arrived.

LT Dunn was feeding my father-in-law breakfast as we entered his room, took a second to introduce himself as the nurse assigned for the day. After he completed the feeding, LT Dunn provided us with an update on his condition. We had questions about his condition and vital signs. He was able to answer our questions in layman's terms, in a way we could understand and relate to, especially with the examples he provided.

I feel healthcare has changed a lot since COVID. A few healthcare workers in our experience have forgotten about why they chose this as their profession, and more importantly, have forgotten about bedside manners such as providing empathy, listening attentively, communicating effectively, and, most importantly, respecting the patient. LT Dunn, as we initially mentioned, is a professional and should be lauded for the care that he provides and exemplifies as a representative of Naval Hospital, Guam.

My father-in-law commended the level of care this nurse provided, which was exceptional, and was very pleased with the respect and attentiveness he showed his patients. Expectations are high, most especially when medical staff are left to care for our loved ones. On full display, not only did he meet our standards, but his passion and expertise rose above all, rewarding us with comfort and relief.

With a grateful heart, we would like to highlight LT Dunn’s performance and the genuine care for my father-in-law. .
