Lindsie not only provided exceptional medical care. She brought warmth, empathy, and respect into every interaction.
Reflecting on weeks of hospitalization, one nurse stands out from the others. We had the privilege of having Lindsie only a few times during these weeks. Her exceptional work ethic, knowledge, and desire for best practice were evident in her daily care. Her ability to communicate and advocate was evident, and she brought confidence to difficult situations. Lindsie entered the room knowing the plan of the care team. She listened to us and understood that the team (including us) was not on the same page. She did not hesitate to reach out to the appropriate people and brought answers to our many questions/concerns. Her ability to advocate while maintaining professional boundaries was evident. It brought comfort to us knowing she would listen and act if needed.

There was a different level of care with Lindsie as our nurse: This included clustering care to avoid disruption and promote rest. My husband was exhausted, and Lindsie was the first care provider to make rest a priority based on "his" schedule, not hers. She completed a sterile bedside procedure without disruption with clean technique. Lindsie did not hesitate to answer our questions regarding this conflict in care and provided much-needed education to us. She identified issues quickly and did not allow escalation of pain/emesis/lack of nutrition. This included getting other specialists involved, including nutrition.

Lindsie not only provided exceptional medical care. She brought warmth, empathy, and respect into every interaction. This brought comfort/security not only to my husband but our entire family. We appreciate everything she did for us during this challenging time.
