The PCG Nurse Service Team, led by ENS Cabria, was a beacon of care during the rigorous training cycles at the Regional Training Center (RTC) in Masbate. The team, including SN2 Balang and ASN Blen, had to go beyond traditional medical care to address the unique needs of the trainees.

Their collaboration was put to the test when a series of heat-related illnesses and minor injuries occurred during an intense field exercise. While standard protocols called for basic first aid and rest, the team knew that the trainees’ morale and dedication were on the line.

ENS Cabria, with his compassionate leadership, recognized that the trainees felt demoralized by their injuries. Instead of just treating the wounds, he initiated a brief, morale-boosting huddle with each trainee, reminding them of their strength and purpose. SN2 Balang and ASN Blen's dedication shone as they meticulously charted each trainee’s progress, creating a personalized recovery plan that included not only physical rest but also mental and emotional support.

The team's brief but impactful interventions demonstrated that their brand of care, rooted in compassion, innovation, and dedication, was essential to the success of the trainees, proving that a nurse's touch can be just as vital as a commander's command.
