Elise helped me to stay calm, informed, and empowered in making all the decisions I needed to make.
Elise was the first nurse on duty the morning I got induced. She was so kind and easy to talk to. She always made it easy to call on her for anything we needed. She listened so well to what we had to say and made any needed adjustments. She helped us know when it would be wise to call in our doula and remembered to communicate small details to us the whole time she was there. She told us that she usually works at the Cancer center, but she was picking up some extra hours in L&D since she had worked there previously. You wouldn't have known that she was usually working with Cancer patients because she just seemed so naturally able to adjust to the Labor and Delivery needs for us that day. So grateful for her presence in our lives that day!

Elise helped me to stay calm, informed, and empowered in making all the decisions I needed to make. She never rushed me, but kept the environment calm and positive. She set the tone for the rest of my experience that day. I felt an immediate level of trust with her, which was crucial for my overall experience. Even when it was time to have a shift change, she brought the next nurse in and said that "she had hand-picked the best nurse for us" to take over. Just that simple phrase allowed me to relax with a brand new person and continue to feel trust towards the next nurse on shift.
