Monica is an extraordinary nurse who cared for me during the birth of my baby girl. From the moment I was admitted, she was very attentive and coached me through every contraction as I was sitting at 8cm. During my labor, she advocated for me and was truly clinically exceptional as well as fun and supportive. Her presence is very comforting.

The most defining moment of her care was when I experienced a medical emergency after birth. I had a reaction to a medication that tanked my blood pressure and my breathing. She responded immediately with calm urgency and clear expertise. I remember her as well as every team member who ran into the room, was collected, professional, and explained exactly what was going on to my family.

As an RN myself, it was eye-opening to experience the other side of a rapid response. I remember her reassuring voice and how she coordinated with the team to stabilize me. She never let fear take over and guided me through a very scary situation. She should be recognized for her dedication to her patients. I am so grateful and sincerely hope we run into each other at Costco as we talked about!
