Caitlin displayed extraordinary care for our dad in his final month. Having three daughters as nurses, he always sought out Caitlin's nursing advice, and she encouraged him to seek care. Her wisdom and knowledge as a nurse helped lead our dad to seek care and his initial diagnosis of blood clots and then a terminal diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Without her expertise from her years of working as an RN in the Emergency Room, we likely would have had less time with him.

In his last month, he had multiple Emergency Room visits at Meritus, where Caitlin was always advocating for him with the nurses and providers on staff. She has a calm and professional interaction and is obviously highly respected by her co-workers. She was quick to meet his needs by bringing him warm blankets, walking him to the bathroom, and making sure his most loved sunglasses were always on his head.

Caitlin has always displayed care and compassion, and I am absolutely certain that her patients feel that calming presence every single time she interacts with them. I was thoroughly impressed with the tenderness and kindness she displayed to our dad every time he walked into the Emergency Department. For someone who did not receive a lot of medical care previously, her calming presence as a nurse was necessary. She is the epitome of a DAISY and deserves the utmost recognition for her care and compassion as a nurse every day in a tough environment.
